El Milagro has wonderful reviews on Yelp so I figured it was finally time for me to check it out. I made reservations online on a Friday night and I'm happy I did, it was quite busy when we went. We ordered the queso volcano dip which was wonderful. It had chorizo, peppers, and onions in it. Soooo delicious and a great app. To drink I had a skinny spicy margarita which was great and affordable. Not syrupy or sugary which is always preferred. For my meal I got the quesa birria tacos, they definitely hit the spot! I love corn tortillas and these were delicious. The consommé was delicious to accompany the cheesy melty beef. Highly recommend! I'm definitely getting the churro cart next time we come with a group- would be a great dessert!

Oh my gosh this food is so good!! Super fun spot, great mix of music. My waitress was so sweet too!

YES YES YES. Can I give them 10 stars? I love the ambiance of this place. I go here minimum once per year (only due to distance) but it is my go to place for my birthday. The service is always great. And the food well it's very unique. It is not an Americanized Mexican restaurant. It is a true Hispanic restaurant. I absolutely love the menu, and the prices are reasonable for the portions! I haven't had the churro cart yet, but next time it is on. The drinks are delicious.

We had a variety of the street tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas and everything was excellent! Kathy was a great server and very nice. Highly recommend and will be back again!

Kathy is amazing food is so yummy!! Everything on the menus is amazing and looks exactly as advertised the best Mexican in stlouis don't even get me started on the chips and salsa it's amazing! Must try

I came here on a whim as I had some time to kill before my nail appt. Upon walking in, I was greeted by both the host and bartender and they let me choose where I wanted to sit. I opted for the bar, so I could watch tv. After sitting down, the bartender gave me some water and the menus. She was super friendly and happy to answer any questions I had. Since I came during happy hour, I figured I'd try one of their drinks, so I went with the Diablitos. She said it's on draft; however, she can tone down the jalapeño. While waiting for my drink, she gave me some fresh chips and salsa. Let me emphasize fresh because not only were they light and airy, but you could see the steam coming off. A couple mins later i received my drink. It had great flavor with hints of jalapeno, but not enough for it to overpower. I had a chance to peruse the menu prior to coming and was torn between the chicken or shrimp fajitas. Between the two, the bartender suggested the shrimp as it was the most popular, so I went that. It wasn't long until my food came out, hot and sizzling. Looks wise, it was perfect. Everything was well seasoned and fully cooked, not just a light sear like how I'm used to seeing at some places. The first bite was more than I bargained for (in a good way). It was super hot and I should have known better, but after blowing on it, I was finally able to enjoy it. It was bursting with flavor and each bite was better than the last! The accompaniments to my fajitas (black beans, rice, and lettuce with guacamole) didn't disappoint either. After eating all I could, I settled for the check and went on my way. This place exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to come back and try more things!

We love coming here for the portion size and good service. But most importantly the food is good! I've been here 3 times prior to writing this review and each time did not disappoint. The margaritas are well made and people seem to enjoy coming here any day of the week. I've never made a reservation, and was also able to be seated. Come and enjoy a good meal!

I drive past El Milagro Azteca (Spanish for "the Aztec miracle") on The Hill on a regular basis. Last night, I finally decided to check them out for dinner. It was pretty busy for a Friday night, but the service was great, and the food was served promptly. The Chips & Two Salsas appetizer - with housemade chips, and housemade green & red salsa - is especially tasty. An EXCELLENT Mexican food option here in St. Louis.

El Milagro Azteca is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in STL! The space is huge with a nice patio. The service is always great. The food is always delicious! I love the tacos but my "can't miss" item is their El Comal! I always sub out the pork for extra chicken/steak. It is a huge portion that is big enough to share. Be sure to save room for their churro cart for a fun dessert!

El Milagro really fills the shoes of the spot that used to be Taco Circus. The tacos were some of my favorite Al pastor I've had in St. Louis. Tom's of options on the menu and overall lots of seating inside. Loved: the Al pastor tacos and tortilla chips - very good! Liked: the happy hour menu was confusing and service was okay. I recommend going during happy hour for free chips and salsa, otherwise you have to pay for them.
